North American Revolution
The revolution in where the North American colonies of Britain revolted against Britain's struggle to get more control over the colonies. It started in 1775 and ended in 1787.
French Revolution
A revolution between the rest of France and the aristocracy (that was very bloody) to change the government system. It started in 1789 and ended in 1851.
Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen
A declaration made by the French National Assembly during the revolution to try and declare all men are equal and also started the French Revolution.
Napoleon Bonaparte
A leader of France that came to power in 1799 and helped spread French influence by conquering the lands around France.
Haitian Revolution
The only successful slave revolution that happened in history were slaves in Haiti revolted against France and then declared independence in 1804. Started in 1791.
Spanish American Revolutions
Revolutions that happened all over Latin America in colonies that wanted to be independent from their mother country.
Revolutions
An uprising were the people of a country try to replace or fix the government that controls them.
Abolitionist Movement
The movement to get rid of slavery and slave trade from 1780 to 1890.
Nationalism
The sense that people each belonged to a nation that had unique characteristics but each nation being separate.

A book written by Mary Wollstonecraft that expressed her own ideas of feminism.
Maternal Feminism
A certain type of feminism were women looked more to them as playing the roles of mothers rather than both men and women are equal.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton
One of the main women followers in feminism were women and men should have equal rights.
